News for Gillette and Campbell County

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Friday, June 12:

  • At 1:19 a.m. to mile marker 113 on Wyoming Highway 387 for a single-vehicle rollover.
  • At 5:32 a.m. to Bighorn Drive for a medical emergency.
  • At 6:26 a.m. to Hunt Avenue for a medical emergency.
  • At 6:26 a.m. to South Garner Lake Road for a smoke investigation. No fire was located.
  • At 11:09 a.m. to Interstate 90 for a smoke investigation. No fire was located.
  • At 1:16 p.m. to Speigelmeyer Avenue for a medical emergency.
  • At 1:44 p.m. to Harder Drive for a medical emergency.
  • At 3:55 p.m. to Fairview Road for a smoke investigation. Coal dust was located.
  • At 4:16 p.m. to South 4-J Road for a medical emergency.
  • At 7 p.m. to Khadafy Skoal Road for a wildland fire. The fire was caused by a spark from a grinder, and winds grew the fire quickly to 0.6 acres before neighbors assisted in extinguishing it.
  • At 7:08 p.m. to WYO 59 South for a two-vehicle collision.
  • At 7:35 p.m. to Tyler Avenue for a medical emergency.

Year to date, the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 1,504 requests for service.
